This is the card that started it all. My friend, Melissa, was having a birthday. I had been looking thru my stash of papers, cardstock, embelishments and so forth. I didn't want to stamp a card, but I wanted to make a card. For me stamping is just too time consuming. Plus it just sucked out all my self esteem. I could not make a perfect card. The coloring was such an issue for me. Anyway, we have a TON of family photos. So, I started rummaging thru all that and found this picture of Michael's great Aunt Helen. How cute is that picture? So, I sat down and came up with this card for Melissa. Honestly, after I made it, I didn't want to give it away. (Don't worry Melissa, I don't want it back....ok, yeah, I kinda would take it back, but seriously you can keep it.) I fell in love with it. Then thats all I did was start making cards with funning sayings and vintage photos. I bought a couple of cd's that have vintage images on them and off I go into the wild blue yonder. I am absolutely hooked on these cards.

They would be so great for a milestone birthday. Ya know, a 50th (I won't say 40th, because that one just passed me by) birthday and I could put a childhood picture of the birthday boy or girl. A wedding anniversary could have an old wedding pic of the gloriously happy couple. Those are just some custom ideas I have in my little pea brain. I prolly have more ideas floating amongst my brain matter than will ever come out, but hey, ya never know, do ya?

So, I will eventually get all the cards I have made thus far posted on here. You just gotta give me time. I'm new to this blogger thing.

Thanks ever so much to Lisa Zappa for her help in getting me hooked up. YOu can check out her blog here http://www.shabbychickjunk.blogspot.com/. She is a rock star!! I LOVE her blog. It is a daily yummy for me, so check it out.
